Our Bakehouse

WE USE TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES, HAND MOULDING OUR LOAVES & PROVING THEM IN FLOURED BASKETS. BAKING THEM DIRECTLY ON THE OVEN FLOOR TO HELP CREATE A DELICIOUS CRUST. WE INVEST TIME AND SKILL TO PRODUCE REAL, HONEST BREAD THAT SMELLS, LOOKS AND TASTES AMAZING.

We opened our current bakehouse café at the end of January 2017 having outgrown our previous space. offering high quality teas & coffees alongside our small batch pastries & sweet bakes. as well as seasonal lunch specials highlighting local ingredients.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

We try and do just a few things but do them really well and have a strong focus of seasonal, local and quality produce. We are continually experimenting with flavours and teachniques and aim to offer something new and exciting.

we are part of the Économusée project which is designed to showcase traditional crafts and help artisans tell their story. 

you can visit our bakehouse and learn a little about what we do, how we do it and why by following our storyboards downstairs, below the café. 

or you can book in for a tour/workshop and our team will show you around our bakehouse and explain in more detail how we make our bread, show you different techniques and you might even get a chance to get your hands in some dough!
